App and account
Use the official DiDi China app or a verified official mini-program entry point; do not assume a DiDi service for another market is the same product. The developer lists an English interface, overseas-number login, international-card options and Chinese/English message translation. These are advertised capabilities: check your account, card, city and app version, including whether your number receives verification messages.
Prepare the appropriate valid identity document, a phone number able to receive verification messages and the bank card you intend to use. Register, verify and try linking through the official Alipay or WeChat service. Wallets, card networks, issuers, documents and accounts have different eligibility rules. Successful linking does not guarantee every purchase or merchant will work.

Ordering and pickup
Save the destination’s Chinese name and address. Check the pickup pin and road direction, then confirm vehicle category, passengers, luggage, fare estimate and charging terms. At airports and stations, follow signs to the designated pickup area and contact the driver through the app if needed. Matching a map pin does not ensure you are at the same physical location.
Costs and availability
Use the current order for pricing and check waiting, cancellation, toll, parking or other applicable charges. An estimate is not the final price in every circumstance. No undated airport fare, instant match, fixed wait or guaranteed luggage capacity is offered.
For overseas cards linked to Alipay or Weixin Pay, transactions of RMB 200 or less are generally exempt from the platform service fee. Above RMB 200, a 3% fee may apply to the entire amount, not only the excess. Check the confirmation screen for promotions, account limits and actual charges. Issuer foreign-transaction fees and currency conversion are separate; payment is not universally free and no best exchange rate is promised.

Vehicle checks and support
Check the plate, vehicle and driver details against the app before boarding, and retain the order and any trip-sharing record. Use in-app support for order issues. The developer lists in-app English support, but response time and outcomes are not guaranteed. If no ride is available or payment fails, ask a licensed taxi rank or your accommodation about alternatives. Transfers arranged by this company require separate confirmation and pricing.
