This ten-day, nine-night reference itinerary starts and ends in Lhasa, with city visits before Namtso, Yamdrok Lake, Shigatse and Gyantse. Allow time to rest on arrival. The later stages involve high altitude and longer drives; confirm personal suitability, document requirements and route feasibility before booking transport. This is a reference route; accommodation, tickets, transport and fee coverage are subject to the confirmed quotation and itinerary.

Day 1Arrival in Lhasa
Transfer to accommodation in Lhasa and keep the day primarily for rest. Arrange the transfer and hotel location after arrival transport is confirmed; a rest day is not a guarantee of suitability for the later high-altitude stages.
Day 2Lhasa City — Jokhang Temple
Visit the Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street, soaking in the profound religious atmosphere. Watch devoted pilgrims performing full-body prostrations.
Day 3Potala Palace & Norbulingka
Tour the magnificent Potala Palace (advance reservation required). In the afternoon, visit Norbulingka, the Dalai Lama's Summer Palace, and enjoy Tibetan garden beauty.
Day 4Sera Monastery & Drepung Monastery
Visit Sera and Drepung monasteries to learn about their architecture and culture. Debating sessions and other activities depend on local access and schedules. Follow monastery rules for visits and photography.
Day 5Namtso Sacred Lake
Travel towards Namtso, observing plateau landscapes and mountain views en route. Confirm the return journey, road conditions and access in advance. Visibility of the lake and peaks depends on weather.
Day 6Yamdrok Lake
View Yamdrok Lake along the route before continuing to Shigatse. Specify high-altitude stops, driving and rest arrangements in the confirmed itinerary rather than rushing to complete every sight.
Day 7Shigatse — Tashilhunpo Monastery
Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, the historic seat of the Panchen Lama. Explore Shigatse city and savor authentic Tibetan cuisine.
Day 8Gyantse Dzong Fortress
Tour the Gyantse Dzong Fortress and learn about the heroic Tibetan resistance a century ago. Visit the Kumbum Stupa at Pelkor Chode Monastery.
Day 9Return to Lhasa
Enjoy views of the Yarlung Tsangpo valley on the return to Lhasa, with free time for shopping and Tibetan restaurant dining.
Day 10Departure
Airport transfer. Farewell to a sacred and unforgettable Tibet pilgrimage journey.
