Over six days and five nights, explore the Humble Administrator’s Garden, Lingering Garden, Shantang Street and Zhouzhuang before taking a high-speed train to Nanjing for Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum, Ming Xiaoling and the Qinhuai area. First- and last-day museum visits depend on reservations and transport. Zhouzhuang and Qinhuai boat rides have different fee arrangements. This is a reference route; accommodation, tickets, transport and fee coverage are subject to the confirmed quotation and itinerary.

Transfer on arrival in Suzhou and visit the Humble Administrator’s Garden and Suzhou Museum as arrival and reservation times allow. For a late arrival, decide in advance which visit to retain or move to a later day.
Day 2Tiger Hill · Lingering Garden · Shantang Street
Visit Tiger Hill and Lingering Garden, allowing time for garden spaces, buildings and paths, then walk along Shantang Street in the evening. Accessible areas and entry times depend on daily arrangements.
Day 3Zhouzhuang Water Town Day Trip
Visit Zhouzhuang’s open sights, including Double Bridge, Fu’an Bridge, Shen House and Zhang House. Take the rowing boat according to the confirmed ticket and operations, then return to Suzhou. Meals and teahouse purchases cost extra.
Day 4Onward to Nanjing · Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum · Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum
Travel from Suzhou to Nanjing on the confirmed train, handle luggage and transfers, then visit Sun Yat-sen Mausoleum and Ming Xiaoling. Adjust visit scope to reservation and arrival times.

Focus on the Presidential Palace, Confucius Temple and Qinhuai waterfront. If interested in a boat trip, check the sailing, ticket and quotation inclusion before scheduling it; distinguish a waterfront walk from a cruise.

Arrange Nanjing Museum and Xuanwu Lake around reservations and departure transport. Prioritize if time is short, allowing for luggage collection and station transfer.

What to confirm before booking

Can we visit Suzhou gardens straight after an international arrival?

First confirm the arrival airport, transfer to Suzhou, luggage and reservation slots. Day one lists both the Humble Administrator’s Garden and Suzhou Museum, but a late arrival may not allow both. Adjust the sequence in advance.

How are Zhouzhuang and Qinhuai boat tickets confirmed?

Confirm dates, piers, vessels, sailings and charges for each boat trip separately. Inclusion depends on the written proposal; a town visit or waterfront evening walk does not include boat tickets.

Can we start in Nanjing and finish in Suzhou instead?

The existing route starts in Suzhou and finishes in Nanjing. Reversing it or returning to the arrival city requires fresh confirmation of trains, venue openings, hotels and transfers rather than reusing the original schedule.
