Arrive at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport or Hangzhou East Railway Station, where a private car will transfer you to your hotel. In the afternoon, take a leisurely walk along the shores of West Lake, passing classic sights such as the Broken Bridge Remnant Snow, Bai Causeway, and Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake. At dusk, enjoy the West Lake Musical Fountain along the Hubin Promenade — water columns dance to music against the backdrop of the illuminated Leifeng Pagoda.

In the morning, visit Lingyin Temple, one of China's most renowned Buddhist sanctuaries, founded during the Eastern Jin Dynasty. The temple is filled with incense smoke and shaded by ancient trees. Then explore the Feilai Peak cliff carvings, featuring precious stone sculptures from the Five Dynasties through the Song and Yuan periods. After lunch, head to the Longjing tea-producing area — Meijiawu or Longjing Village — to stroll through emerald tea fields, learn about the harvesting and crafting of West Lake Longjing tea, and savor a cup of authentic pre-Qingming Dragon Well tea.

In the morning, climb Leifeng Pagoda, the legendary tower from the Tale of the White Snake, now splendidly reconstructed and offering panoramic views of West Lake from its summit. Then explore Hefang Street and the Southern Song Imperial Street, a pedestrian boulevard brimming with Hangzhou specialty snacks and traditional handicrafts. In the afternoon, enter Songcheng Theme Park, a recreation of the Southern Song capital. In the evening, attend the spectacular stage show The Romance of the Song Dynasty — hailed as a must-see performance that transports you through a thousand years of history.

After breakfast, drive to Wuzhen (approximately 1.5 hours), a water town with over 1,300 years of history that has preserved its authentic riverside charm. Stroll along flagstone-paved lanes, take a scull boat ride through ancient bridges and canals, and visit traditional workshops including the Hundred Beds Museum, Woodcarving Museum, and dyehouse. At lunchtime, savor local delicacies like Dingsheng Cake and white-water fish at a riverside pavilion, and experience the leisurely pace of life on the water. Return to Hangzhou in the evening.

In the morning, head to Xixi National Wetland Park, where a traditional scull boat carries you through reed marshes and winding waterways — a hidden paradise within the city. Then visit the China National Silk Museum to trace the evolution of silk culture from ancient times to the modern era. A private car will transfer you to the airport or railway station according to your departure schedule, concluding your unforgettable Hangzhou journey.

Hangzhou is beautiful year-round, each season offering its own charm. Spring (March–May) brings the famous Dawn on the Su Causeway in Spring and citywide blossoms — the best season for flowers. Summer (June–August) features Lotus in the Breeze at Crooked Courtyard and endless lotus leaves. Autumn (September–November) offers Sweet Osmanthus Rain at Manjuelong Village with its golden fragrance. Winter (December–February) occasionally treats visitors to the iconic Broken Bridge Remnant Snow scene. Spring and autumn are most highly recommended.

West Lake is quite large, so a combination of walking, boating, and electric cart rides is recommended. Suggested route: Broken Bridge → Bai Causeway → Solitary Hill → Lotus in the Breeze at Crooked Courtyard (on foot), then take a boat to Three Pools Mirroring the Moon, continue by boat to Fish Viewing at Flower Harbor, and walk along Su Causeway to Leifeng Pagoda. The full route takes about half a day and can be adjusted based on your energy level.
