Xi'an, capital of thirteen dynasties, invites you on a five-day journey through millennia. Stand before the Terracotta Warriors and feel the might of the Qin Empire, ascend the perilous cliffs of Mount Hua (north route up and down), explore Qianling Mausoleum — the final resting place of China's only empress — and wander through Yuanjiacun village for authentic Guanzhong folk culture. Visit Giant Wild Goose Pagoda at Da Ci'en Temple, cycle atop the ancient city wall, sample Shaanxi delicacies at Yongxingfang, and stroll through the Tang Dynasty Never Nights City as if transported back to Chang'an.

In the morning, visit the world-famous Terracotta Warriors Museum in Lintong, where thousands of life-sized clay soldiers stand in battle formation — an overwhelming spectacle. Then explore Lishan Garden (Qin Shi Huang Mausoleum Heritage Park) to understand the grand scale of the First Emperor's tomb complex. In the evening, attend the spectacular live-action historical dance drama The Song of Everlasting Sorrow, performed at Huaqing Palace — a moving retelling of the legendary love story between Emperor Xuanzong and Lady Yang Guifei. Overnight near Mount Hua.

A full day exploring Mount Hua, one of China's Five Sacred Mountains. Ride the North Peak cable car up and hike to the North Peak, Canglong Ridge, Golden Lock Pass, and other highlights. Stand atop knife-edge summits and gaze out over a sea of mountain peaks. Descend by North Peak cable car in the afternoon and return to Xi'an. In the evening, stroll through the Tang Dynasty Never Nights City pedestrian street, where brilliant illuminations make you feel as though you've stepped back into the golden age of Chang'an. Overnight in Xi'an.

In the morning, visit Qianling Mausoleum, the joint tomb of Empress Wu Zetian — China's only female emperor — and Emperor Gaozong of Tang. The Wordless Stele and 61 foreign envoy statues invite deep reflection. In the afternoon, head to Yuanjiacun Village for an authentic taste of Guanzhong folk culture — sample local yogurt, fried dough twists, and signature oil-splashed noodles. Overnight in Xi'an.

In the morning, visit Da Ci'en Temple and Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, the iconic landmark built under the direction of the Tang monk Xuanzang. Then cycle or stroll along the Xi'an Ancient City Wall for panoramic views of the old city. At noon, head to Yongxingfang to sample authentic specialties from all 107 counties of Shaanxi. In the afternoon, visit the Xi'an Museum and explore Bell and Drum Tower Square and Muslim Street. A private car will transfer you to the airport or station according to your schedule, concluding your ancient capital journey.

Tour FAQ

Mount Hua has cable cars that take you directly to the main peaks, and most paths feature well-built stone steps and safety railings. We arrange the north route ascent and descent, which is less strenuous and offers the best views. However, visitors with limited stamina or a fear of heights can skip the Plank Walk and stick to standard tourist paths. We recommend the Mount Hua portion for visitors aged 10 and above in good health.
