After breakfast, head to Libo to explore the Xiaoqikong Scenic Area. Walk across the ancient Xiaoqikong Bridge, wander through the water forest, and admire Cuigu Waterfall and Laya Waterfall — the emerald-green waters are as translucent as jade. In the afternoon, travel to Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village, where over a thousand stilt houses cling to the mountainside. As night falls, climb to the viewing platform to see the entire village illuminated by a sea of lanterns. Overnight in Xijiang.

Some attractions in Guizhou require long drives (distances between scenic spots are significant), and there is a fair amount of walking at Huangguoshu Waterfall and Fanjing Mountain. However, cable cars and eco-shuttle buses help ease the effort. Overall, the difficulty is moderate. We recommend it for visitors in good health with reasonable stamina. Seniors and young children may prefer a lighter version with fewer stops.

Guizhou weather can change quickly — bring rain gear and a light jacket. Most scenic areas involve mountain paths, so comfortable non-slip walking shoes are essential. Summer UV rays can be strong, so sun protection is important. Miao villages and Fanjing Mountain have significant temperature drops in the evening, so pack a warm layer. Guizhou cuisine tends to be sour and spicy; those with sensitive stomachs may want to bring gastrointestinal medication.
